About this workshop
This floral design class celebrates the beauty and symbolism of purple—a color long associated with royalty, creativity, and a touch of magic. Designed for flower lovers who want to explore floral design beyond the basics, this class is welcoming and inspiring while offering the opportunity to work more intentionally with color and arranging techniques.
During class, you’ll work with a thoughtfully curated selection of purple blooms, featuring a range of shades and tones such as violet, lavender, amethyst, grape, and heather. Flowers may include Orchids, Roses, Lisianthus, and Anemones (subject to availability), chosen for their expressive color and design potential. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on time, we’ll explore how floral design principles come together— movement leads the eye, how balance creates harmony, and how to work within a single color family and still achieve a layered and dynamic feeling. The focus is on learning by doing, building technical confidence, and sharpening your design skills through intentional practice. You’ll leave with a finished purple arrangement and a stronger understanding of how deliberate design choices elevate floral work.
